Time, patience and antique skills are the requisities necessary to etch and pleat materials without lacerating them or compromising their natural characteristics. A 19th century press is the tool needed to achieve the eight-hour feat of delicately transforming hide into a three dimensional reality.

GIOVANNI VALENTINO uses only natural fibres and the best part, known as „pieno fiore", of the finest leather. Scrupulously selected for their unique transparency featuring natural shades and markings as an element of decoration and proof of purity. All metal accessories are hand-carved in brass and plated with palladium or gold, in accordance with the brand's rigorous standards.
